A british made US canteen
Dutch civilian id's and foodbons
British desert camouflage helmet
US m1 helmet
Some dogtags us
US dressings and a poison alcohol can

Irwin Moldafsky: Was woth the 91st BG as navigator is in the roster and did bombing missions in March 1945. He reenlisted in begin 50's and was stationed in Japan he went MIA on his 2nd bombing mission. (This is his ww2 tag) Click on the pictures for bigger pic.

This is the tag LT Gough wore when he got killed it was found near Nancy. He was with the 35th ID 320th IR Company C.

Bronze star: 2nd lieutenant Franklin C Gough Jr, 0531102,Infantry, US Army, For heroic service in connection with military operations against an enemy of the US near * * *, France on 11 august 1944. After his unit had been cut off during an attack and surrounded for six hours, suffering several casualties, Lieutenant Gough volunteered to lead a three man patrol through enemy lines to reestablish contact with the battalion command post and secure medical aid for the wounded. Using consummate skill and cunning, he successfully led his men in fighting their way through enemy lines in the face of intense machine gun and small arms fire and secured relief for the trapped forces. His valiant leadership reflects credit upon his character as an officer. Entered military service from Louisiana.

Silver star:
The President of the United States of America, authorized by Act of Congress July 9, 1918, takes pride in presenting the Silver Star (Posthumously) to Second Lieutenant (Infantry) Franklin C. Gough, Jr. (ASN: 0-531102), United States Army, for gallantry in action while serving with the 35th Infantry Division, in action near ****, France, on 13 September 1944. When his men clung to the ground for protection against heavy enemy artillery and mortar fire, Lieutenant Gough, a platoon leader, moving among them, encouraged them to recommence an action across an open field. After he had led the platoon to within one hundred yards of his objective, an enemy machine gun opened fire. Lieutenant Gough was killed by machine gun fire as he led a direct assault on the German position, but his men, spurred on by his inspiring example, continued the attack and eliminated the enemy strongpoint. His intrepid leadership is in accord with the military traditions of the United States.

This is the tag that George wore on the day he got killed.




sSGT George S Hrimnock was with the 80th ID 318th IR company K he was seriously wounded in August but returned back to duty after 3 days. He got KIA on september the 15th in Northern France.

Luther M Hamilton was in the USN. He was awarded the Philippine Liberation Campaign medal/ribbon but im still trying to find out what his role was only thing I know is that he was a LT JG and qualified for specialist duties. This tag was probably issued to him in the Philippines because the date on the tag matches his active duty time.
