Still after some of the cheap basic wood stands, anyone here make them or has a line on who does? I really don't have the time to make them myself.

        Thanks

Skipper Greenwade makes quality headgear stands at what I consider a reasonable price:

Thanks, but I just can't see spending $40-80 on a helmet stand. I have 50-75 types of headgear. When I look at a nice display I'm not looking at helmet stands. But headgear does look best on a stand and not laying on a shelf IMO.

              Hi,

I use nondescript trench art shells for my stands. If there are no dates, engravings or anything else that could identify the shell--- it becomes a stand.
              They're fairly cheap too

              Cheers,

                  Kelly,

it gets expensive but Skipper's standards are by far the best you will find on the market in my opinion. There are other makers out there but I simply like his the best. I have a pile of them but I want to preserve the history of the headgear and when your spending thousands of dollars in this hobby what is 40 bucks or so? Matt

                      Hi mate,

                      Here are some more options.

I still like the Trench art--- A Kwk43, the kind used by Tiger II (+ others) as the base, and a 3.7cm as the stem.

                      Cheers,

                      Jamie

Thanks, I can see them used with high end headgear as they are great quality. I need to find a cheaper solution for some of the non TR headgear valued from $35 to $100.
