      Servus Gebirgsari,

Wonderful woodcarving! What size is it?

I studied with a Bavarian Woodcarving Master for 6 years. I have several wartime Gebirgsjäger woodcarvings in my collection, plus I have carved many Gebirgsjäger themed sculptures myself.

        Gebrigsari: did you carve it?

Patrick: did you carve that one?

        I am impressed.

          Servus Brian,

Yes, I did carve the Gebirgsjäger and Mule from a WWII GJ cartoon....I call it "Willi, Muli und Sepp"

Here are a few more of my works:

Still have to stain this one:

Based off of a road sign in Finland:

          US 10th Mountain Division

I'll have to take some photos of my other works and of the original pieces that I have.

              Greetings Lou,

Many thanks for the compliment! I had a great instructor who was also a WWII German veteran....he was a tank gunner in StuG's, Hetzers, and Jagdpanthers! So not only did I learn how to carve wood, but I also got six years of war stories.

Here are a couple of the wartime woodcarvings that I have:
