My german backpacks up for review

    Hey all,

I'm gonna start to put my collection online. I'm going to start of with smaller object and work my way up to the bigger items. Opinions are welcome, if you suspect an item is fake please tell me the reasons. Reactions like "it is bad" are not really that helpfull for avoiding fakes in the future. If you do not want to give hints to producers of fake items please send me a PM.

Starting of with my german backpacks.

The first one was accually one of my first items ever.
The two hooks don't match (field replacement?)
    Marked "MORITZ STECHER FREIBERG 1941"

These are all totally correct original items. Mismatched components on original Tornister packs is common as these saw a lot of use throughout the war (and often later) and were repaired and reissued. The "Lemercier Aviation" pack appears to be a Gebirgsjäger type, this factory also made K98 ammunition pouches. The canvas Tornister is a political or paramilitary type, nice to see with the original cloth RZM tag that says "Segeltuch Ausführung" (canvas version). The last one is stamped with an RB number, these codes were introduced in 1942 and used to conceal the locations of German factories. Most field gear from 1943-1945 is marked with RB numbers in this way, rather than maker names. Nice items.

                Servus Justamanda,

Some great looking backpacks you have. I really like the 'Lemercler Aviation" Gebirgsjäger rucksack! Being a Gebirgsjäger collector, I have a few rucksacks too:

                Berg Heil und Horrido!

Waw! and I was so pleased with my 4 pieces!
Can I ask with what you stuff them? I used to use newspaper.. butt I saw here that this will destroy the fabrics?
