    building a display

    Hello all!
I'm new to this forum and I must say the info you get here is overwelming.
I would like to know what you guy's use as ground base for u full size display?
What do you use to imitate dirt, mud, snow cover...

Saw the museum in Luxembourg which had a whole room filled with real life looking snow, looked on the internet and found only very fake looking items which I'm not sure are so good for the qualitiy of the uniforms.

    Any tips/ ideas?
Thanks all and enjoy the hollidays

      To add an extra question:
I also notice that a lot of musea uses real trees in their diorama's.
Do they use something against bugs (eggs), fungus, ... that are on the trees?
Anyway, the trees looks real ...

I read some musea accually take clay prints of real leaves and produce their own leaves... Some other musea spray the leaves with a product to be able to keep them in their current form.
