    Real Nuremberg Eagle

    Here is my collection of Nuremeberg Eagle mounted on MARBLE display.

    Not seeing one of these everyday... I got it from Late Paul Lanun estate.

            These eagles came in several styles. I really like the one you have with the dedication. Very impressive!

                  Bear with me if this is a stupid question, but why are they called Nuremburg eagles?

                    Chris, in prewar Germany there were huge Nazi rallies held in Nuremberg. The stadium was adorned with giant statues of party eagles of the same basic design as these small desk ornaments. Thus, when the term Nuremburg Eagle is used, it is actually a description of this style of open winged eagle. Hope this helps.

                          Speer trophy w/ unique eagle

                          I saw this Speer trophy a few years back for sale and saved the pictures. Unfortunately, I don't recall anything else. As anyone seen this or anything like this eagle?
