Still on the hunt for a Military Order of St. Henry Knight's Cross, Civil Merit Order Knight's Cross 2nd Class with Swords and a Long Service Medal for 15 Years.

I managed to pic up a Cross of Honor (General Honour) with swords and it is presently on it's way.

Hoping to add a Württemberg Order of the Crown Knight's Cross with Swords and maybe a Württemberg Silver Merit Cross with Swords.

Would love to add a Karl-Friedrich Military Merit Medal and Merit Order to round of Baden but price, quite the obstacle.

Hesse now that's toughy...where are you Philip the Magnanimous, where are you hiding..

Managed to find an Oldenburg House and Merit Knight's Cross 2nd Class with Swords so check another off the list, but those long services awards are going to hurt the back pocket a bit.

Alan, very nicely displayed collection with some superb examples on show.
I like the way in which you have labelled the groupings allowing for those you are yet to obtain. Lastly those display cases are stunning.
              Thanks for showing.
              Regards,Scott

Does anyone have a pic of a Sachsen-Weimar-Eisenach 15 year DA? Do they exist at all?

I would have to say that some of my favorite awards are from the German Principalities Waldeck, Schwarzburg and Lippe.

A Deumer Schinkelform pinback would round of the EKIs just nicely and a court mounted EKII for good measure.

A black wound badge is on the way, and a gold in gilded tombac will complete the set.

A very impressive collection with some rare and high end awards. I really like your display - the labels add to a more clean, scientific presentation. Those display cabinets must weigh a ton and also take up quite a bit of room!? Would love to see your whole set-up.

Your idea of only (mostly) going for the individual medals and orders must keep the expense down somewhat. I decided very early on only to have awards in my collection that are still on the original medal bar...

A couple of questions: is that PLM original?
I am focussing on Oldenburg: would you be able to post a close-uo of front and back of the ribbon bar with the EK, Hohenzollern and Oldenburg with "Vor dem Feinde" bar?

Again, very impressive. Thanks for showing.

                            Regards
                            Thorsten
