                  Stands

                  Errol,

                  Thanks for your kind comments.

I purchased the stands at the annual MAX show in Pittsburgh and do not remember the dealer's name. If you would like, I can purchase some for you at the next MAX, this September and ship to you?

Superb display production values. An appropriate venue for such a superb collection.

I noticed the WWI German Ehrenbecher amongst the Ehernpokals in the first series of photos. Would it be named or is it a blank one. It looks to be one of the late issue steel variety?

                      Silver

                      Joe,

WWI Honor Goblets were not engraved with the recipients name unless it was privately done. However, the very early ones were engraved with the location of the kill and the type.

The one in my collection is a silver specimen with flight log and picture of recipient.

                        Mike

I only asked if it was named, not when it was done.

I have a late steel one with the name and particulars of the winner, an obeserver who initially served in the Pasha Abtlg. then was transferred to the Western Front where he made his first kill.

Is your picture of the recipient an original image or a Sanke card. Mine is a Sanke, but I have been able to add copies of other images.

Nice! OCD all the way! ....how do you deal with the dust that accumulates on the tunics? The thought itself would drive me crazy.
