Adorable! Something to be proud of. Would you tell me a little more about the Dachau ones? Do they mostly come without bearing maker marks? Which would be the history behind them, is this true that camp inmates worked making them and how did it happen?
    Anyway just beautiful swords.

Dachau SS swords are found both ways, with Paul Mullers & Dachau, and un-marked blades. Once you see the bright fittings on these degens, it becomes appearant, and the differences are very noticable. Muller procured a lifetime contract with Himmler to produce edged weapons at a forge that was set up for him just outside of Dachau. Here the Master produce the famous Damascus blades that are found on SS honor daggers and the so called "SS Birthday Degens". At the forger Muller took on just a couple of worthy apprentices from the SS ranks, to assist him and learn the trade of Damascus blade making. There were only a handful of craftsmen in Solingen that could master this art, and Muller wanted to see that this craft was not lost. But the demands of WWII kept drafting into the service, those that he was teaching the trade to. His complaints to Himmler fell on deaf ears, as the war was more inportant than fancy swords and dagger, for sure. I'm not sure to what extent prisoners were used, or if they were used at Mullers forge in Dachau. I have only read of his use of worthy individuals from the actual ranks of the SS to employ as apprentice in his trade. JR
