This is part of my collection at the moment I have got round to displaying. It's only a few bits but it's something to ponder over . If you have any concerns over the badges in the cabinet please let me know which and I'll give you a better picture, I'm trying to flush out the fakes Thanks.

Hi Tom, First Off, Very Nicely Done! I Noticed Your Badges And See You Have Something That Looks Like Something I Came Across And Have Not Been Able To Figure Out What It Is. It Is The Eagle And Swastika Badge You Have There. It Looks Kinda Large, To Large For A Hat. Is It Gold In Color And Does It Have 2 Little Round Eyeletts On The Back For Mounting It? If It Does Do You Know What It Is For? Regards, Chris

Tom, That's It But Mine Has Little Eyeletts On The Back Of It. It Measures 4 3/8 Inches By 2 Inches And Is Gold Plated. Do You Or Anyone Else Have Any Ideal What It Is For Or Was Used On? My Only Thought Is That It Is Government As The Eagle Head Is Turned Right. Thanks For Posting Your Picture Of It. Maybe Someone Knows? Chris

Hi John, I have an eagle just like that. Sadly in my opinion they are 1970's repro/possibly fantasy items. They are similar to a dress tropical helmet eagle. The lugs are not something found on German made items. Also checkout the swastika. Note how it is tilted and out of alinement? The finish is a gaudy silver almost chrome appearance. Mine actually came from a Vets estate. If any of the other members can confirm it is what I think it is, and if you still like the item, I would be happy to send it to you as a gift.
