For me this lid is rather special..... it was a present from my father, making a dream come true....when I wanted a FJ lid.....it's a SD ET71, lot number 59......

This is the side view of my other FJ M38, this was my first, obtained directly from the Veternas wife in 2001....a late war ckl68

That one is a replica I believe made for instruction i diving school or something like that they said when they sold it to me, way back in the 80´s its marked 1941, my dad bought it for me when I was 6 or 8... I always had a passion for diving helmets

Wonderfully impressive collection, covering so many areas... very well done! Your grandfather's art is superb!!! Plus the modern DDR and "Nam" vignettes are very impressive too. It also looks like you have your grandfather's talent as well judging from post #205!

Thanks....! but the art in 205 I´m basing my next display is from an ospery book...the only thing I learned form my Grandad was how to color and I am a faily good 1/6 modeler.....

Thanks Lou...the 1/6 hobby si funny you can just collect figures...or you can aim to make them as life like as possibel...in this last case inspiration comes an goes.....right now.....I have several ideas......but no inspiration, so focusing entirely in militaria......
