Here we have rare Kingdom of Yugoslavia era, Royal Yugoslav naval officer's dagger, also complete with portepe and the hangers (I plan to find silver portepe as it suits officer's setup better, white ones were more used by NCOs):
and finally we have WW2 period Independent State of Croatia (NDH), very rare naval officer's dagger complete with portepee (German, as often used in NDH) and hangers (Royal Yugoslav with NDH lower buckles).
Beautiful example in very nice, well preserved state:
First is a small collection of metal sleeve patches. I tend to collect them all, but that's not an easy task, as everyone who tried must know already ;-)
And here is my personal freel. Mostly Wiking, nice small pieces which were not always used as toys. Behind are some pieces out of my focus, but still in my collection.
Next few photos shows the use of these small boat models in wartime. Indeed, those were not just ordinary kid's toys ;-).
...let's continue with my collection ;-)
Next are my caps in glass slide-door vitrine.
KM-NCO visor, KM pith helmet, blue and white-topped Japan IJN visors, nive Imperial german SMS Posen sailor's tellermutzr and many nice items here. A bit messy and crowded but I am trying to keep my stuff away from dust :-).
Behind are two Kriegsmarine signal flags of different sizes, very rare today. I will post them with my other flags, later.
and here is part of my Independent state of Croatia (WW2) awards and insignia together with the only known Ustaša-ID card, together with KM metal eagles in a nice display.
That's all for now. Will continue to put more photos as the time allows
I'm still not finished for today... Few hours of work, few minutes of joy, and there it goes.
Ma Austro-Hunfarian items. Not really large sub-collection (was bidding on some uniforms but they went far above my situation) but I really like it.
U-boat badge is marked BSM and it came from a large lot from France.
I am not sure if it is original as there were many different variations, from officially issued to private purchased ones, brom brass through silver to whatever material, with few different back pin or plate configurations, but I gave it a chance.
1. Torpedobootflotille badge is named on the back, .
Are those serrated disc's on the shelf with your UDF binoculars, for the Enigma machine?
Larry
Yes, those are from U-534 (been told so, more info here:http://dev.wehrmacht-awards.com/foru...d.php?t=596607) which is now in museum and where two her Enigmas and rotors are.
U-534 was carrying unusual number of rotors and was, based on some sources, working with two connected Enigmas for further improvement in coding and decoding.
