Fantastic! Not only do you have a beautiful and secure display but you have also done a great service in the restoration of that historic safe.

Good job mateit´s always hard to get into these safes. But how heavy it actually is? 150- 200 kg? Maybe couple of strong burglars would take whole safe and open it easily in their hide..

        Hi Pepe,
        thanks for your input!
Weight is about 220-250 kg. Due to a fact that I live in 3rd floor (no elevator, only stairs), it would be very tough task for burglars to take the safe...In case they were not profis with extra skills, who exactly knew for what they come, I wouldn´t see no chance for them.

That is a lovely old safe ! nice restoration job and the contents look great.
You may want to keep watch on the items in the safe, sometimes the new paint fumes and humidity can affect them.

The Safe will keep honest burglars out, dishonest ones can open them quite quickly unfortunately.I have restored and repaired a few over the years through my work as an engineer, even a couple that have been broken into by various means from local businesses.
One guy had seen one I was repairing and told me once he had opened a couple with steel wedges and a sledge hammer...all that effort earned him some jail time!

Good for you my friend!!! Sounds like a tough job to get more than 200 kg to the third floor. I´m thinking about buying a safe too, but definitely a higher one to fit some guns
