What a great way to showcase such an impressive MG08. Very tastefully done. First class all the way. Agree, the aged wood and photo really adds to the whole display.

                Best Regards,
                JustinG

                  what a great idea!

the use of the aged wood along with the blow up of the photo makes it pop.
OUTSTANDING IDEA !!!! I thing it will catch on .

Just like to say thanks for all the positive comments the Forum members have left.... I'm not much of a carpenter but am very pleased with how it turned out.... the other thing I was happy about is that I did it all for less than $200, the biggest ticket item was getting the picture blown up... $135.
Most of the wood was for free... broken corral boards that I trimmed up from my cousins farm. The base the MG08 is on was a chunk of plywood that was used as a backstop for shooting hockey pucks at... my kids had alot of fun doing that.

Sometimes all it takes is an idea... I hope this will inspire other forum members to have as much fun as I had doing this... (you reading this Mandy333).... Thanks again Jim

Greetings Jim: Fantastic display. I can hardly wait to see it in person. Worthy of a museum display. Speaking of such I better hurry up to see it before you start charging admission. Truly a centerpiece.
                      Regards
                      Zeke

Thats a great display, i have a similar one in my bunker. To make it more realistic i have thrown fired cases on the ground and some straw.

You can also hump it up with canteens, some ammo belts and so on

I really like the poster, thats great. If you like i can post some pics of mine to get an idea. You can be sure such an display is a never ending story
