The Flieger HJ strap is from Bann 55 Lippe. It looks like a transitional strap with chain stitched numerals. Does it appear to have been a tan strap that was dyed black?

Very nice. Looks like a transitional strap that was dyed black to conform to the new regulations introduced in 1938 when the regulations for HJ straps changed from tan backing to black. I have a set from the same Bann for general HJ that were dyed black like this one. A very nice one to have in your collection.
