thanks for the compliments,
-jeremy, the anorak is indeed an original, an unisued one that was found in a crate in one of those european countries no doubt. the wool uniform, g43 pouch belt and buckle, toque and helmet cover are reproductions unfortunately, but now that i have the mannican, i plan to upgrade to original peices, the problem is that these items are the most expensive to find, i really would love to have an original tunic and trousers in salty issued condition, maybe a pair with many field repairs. the wool uniform on him is painstakingly shaved however and weathered to look authentic. shaving a tunic and adding some repairs and stains is a great way to make a repro look real,of course not with intention to sell as original, but for my own personal satisfaction, knowing that my repro is pretty much as close as it gets.
and as for the recruitment posters, they are just framed reproduction for my warroom walls, haha. im afraid original posters are almost as expensive as a german tunic! and more difficult to find.

I agree
This is a wonderful display, and the repros dont detract from it--except as far as you are concerned. From time to time, I will buy filler pieces, but everytime I look at them, they seem to burn my eyes , so I say go for it, replace those repros with all haste for your own piece of mind.Interested in candid/private Hitler, KIA, and Holocaust photos. Also any AH related memorabilia--silverware, linen, crystal, china...
All the best,
Chris
