Next is a stug wrap named to Rolf Mucke, here is some info on him, and the units he was in through the war..

1) 12./Artillerie-Regiment 269
= IV. (schwere) Abteilung ; belonged to the 269. Infanterie-Division (West) in denmark.
in Jan 1940 this Abteilung was detached from the division and designated a Heerestruppe unit

2) Schwere Artillerie-Abteilung 852
built by renaming the former IV./Art.Rgt. 269 on 31 Jan 1941 ; Heerestruppe ; 3 batteries with 10cm cannons ; service in Lappland ; 1942 : equipped with schwere Feldhaubitzen
[July 1943 : renamed III.Abt./Gebirgs-Artillerie-Regiment 111 of 2. Gebirgs-Division ; with 20. Gebirgs-Armee in Lappland, Norway]

3)He voluntered to Sturmgeschütz-Batterie 247 as zugführer
formed March 1943 in Jüterbog ; transferred to Italy for a short while, then Sardinia fighting partisanen with the waffen-ss, Here he became chief of the batterie,
Sep 43 Korsika, Oct back to Italy mainland ;
Unit dissolved in Italy in Oct 43, sent to camp de ruchard

4) 2./Sturmgeschütz(Lehr-)Brigade 902
formed Jan 1944 in camp de ruchard, France ; fought at cherbourg around d-day.
Escaped the incirkelment..

In late 44 he was heavily wounded and spent the remainder of the war in a military hospital in wuppertal

He earned the following awards:
EK II
EK I
Medaille "Winterschlacht im Osten"
Verwundetenabzeichen in Silber
Allgemeines Sturmabzeichen mit Einsatzzahl "25"
..He was also awarded the Anerkennungsurkunde des Oberbefehlshabers des Heeres for action on 29.08.1944 near Paris
And was recommended for the knights cross, but that was declined somwhere in the system.
