Thats fine.
YOU Might want to consider being a little more engaging when someone asks a question on a new thread , as many times the question is asked for a reason.(it might just get you a look at something you haven't ever seen), its been quite a while , and you've had plenty of time to answer by now, so you have no excuse(just came back to check). I also know where there are authentic illinois badges for sale right now. But I'm convinced you wouldn't be interested from someone you are rude to .(food for thought in the future)
I also asked my question to see how firendly you are...not so ..i'd say...(besides ; cops in my family) It Doesn't make sense to me to start a thread then ignore anybody asking a valid question. That's bad manners in my book.
Sorry but I wasn't ignoring you I've been busy on other sites..

This is not the only site I'm a member of plus I had other stuff to deal with (mainly damage to my car from hitting a deer) I can't buy no more badges yet because I don't have the extra doe (getting my Vopo uniform will be it for a while) but I would very much like to see what you got, About the Illinois State Police badge pic..I had that custom made by the badge maker Irving Hahn and it looks exactly like what the head of ISP would wear except on the real ones the center circle is a seperate piece I think (either glued or soldered to the badge) and not just detailed onto it by engraving, The Illinois Security badges are badges ?I have wore doing security work,The Franklin County sheriff deputy badge is authentic, I bought that for $20.00 at a antique shop in Marion (I also bought a Dept. Of Agriculture inspector badge there) The Franklin County badges has it's pin but no catch as that was broke off somehow..I bought it as it was when I saw it.

That one would be newer because my cousin was in Nebraska law enforcement in the 2000's (I'd say about 2002-2009) But gave it all up to come back to Illinois.

I wish L.A.P.D. would actually wear a shoulder patch like what you have pictured..Most of them just have plain black uniforms with only rank patches,So plain and dull. Was the L.A.P.D. one made for a special event?

I always find it a bit odd that the mayor gets a police badge but then again I now see why,They would be higher than the chief so they could tell the police what to do and they do run the show in cities and towns so they also would have police powers I guess.

Also I might add this was the first time I had checked this thread since I was busy browsing the DDR thread and Ebay.

I don't think I have any real old badges except the Franklin County one with the broke pin catch but I do have a old Illinois State Police double breasted coat I snagged some years ago at Benton Antique Mall,It's near mint with only some minor parts of the lining loose, I been wearing it while I paid some bills because it was so cold outside.

That coat is inceadibly warm and comfortable, I think it's at least 70 years old maybe older.

                  Nice badges

Decades ago I had some Stetsons (for me the coolest Police headgear allover the planet), Highway-Patrol/State Police badges and patches from throughout the USA...........however all went out of my collection in the early 80ies.....

Remains (except the motto you can read under my posts, which is the one of NYSP Academy)?

Here my one and only US related patch

Nice sew on badge, I too have some sew on badges, So why did you get rid of all your police items? I don't think I'll ever sell mine (unless it's some I have duplicates of)
