    Catologuing collection.

    If, when you catolouge your collection what specific details would/do you record for each item?

    Apart fro the discription of the item, what else?

    Where you bought it from & when?

    Makers marks mark/maunfacturer?

    Value?

    Allan, I am one of the worst at cataloging, but for my guns, I keep a excel database with the following; manufacturer, type, caliber, serial number, date I acquired, how much, how much i believe it is worth now, and then in remarks I say where I got it, from whom and anything special (holsters that match, extra magazines, family history, etc)

      Then I can sort by any category.
