Latest from the Woodshop...Too Good Not to Share

    Hello all,

A fellow Forum Member (he can weigh in here if he doesn't want to remain anonymous) finally got me off my dead ass after several requests to come up with a way to use my hedagear stands to display overseas hats. About the same time I did that, I also located a trophy shop willing to do some laser engraving for me. I was, frankly, amazed at the quality and resolution they could get, especially on the Wehrmacht Adler, so I thought I'd share a couple of pics.

First up, US and Waffen-SS overseas hats on a standard spindle and a black enameled oak stand with the Sigrunen:

...and the Wehrmacht eagle (reminiscent of a helmet decal) on black enameled oak and maple and natural red oak. The maple allows for a littler better detail, but the oak grain affords tons of character:

        Thanks for looking

              Thanks Matt

One point of clarification; the o/s hat inserts work with any of my stands and vice versa. (I may have implied in the first post that the o/s hat inserts would only work with the engraved stands and wanted to clear that up)
