    Books on collecting

    Hey guys,

I am a young very modest collector with not a lot of knowledge in any the subject beside some common sense. I've purchased mostly from WAF lately and have been satisfied with the items.

One thing I'm wondering is, if any of you have any books that you think would be good for a new modest collector? I bring these books with me when I go to antique shops and other locations so I can see what an item actually looks like from a reputable source instead of just on the shelf.

I'm currently using a 2007 verison of Warman's World War II Collectibles which I really like. This book has helped me steer clear of items that didn't look good.

    Thanks in advance guys!

    Matt

I'm sorry I posted this in the wrong forum. If this can be moved to the Community Collector Forum that would be awesome.

    Again I'm sorry,

    Matt

My best advice would be to pick an area to focus on. If you purchase every single reference book you'll be broke before you buy your first piece!

Bender publishing is my favourite source for reference material. Excellent colour high resolution photographs and highly detailed information.

        Hi Matt

If its Third reich you are interested in try B&D publishing books!

        These are my current 'bibles'
