    This is a great collection.

To me, this is what it's all about. It's able to be displayed and appreciated. It's 'themed' and there is no real question of politics about it.

    Bravo and well done!

P.S. This is also my 'passion' too, ie. WW1.

Kudos to a fellow member's generosity.

HOSS aka Eric just sent me a free Gummi Mask! And here it is, integrated into my collection. He also sent me a couple of pieces of barbed wire from Ft, Vaux, Verdun!
This is one of the reasons I like Wehrmacht-Awards.com so much. It's a forum with a lot of great people. People whom are not just into it for the buying and selling, but for a love of history, and an honorable place to relate to like minded folks.
Many, many thanks Eric. You helped me to top off my collection, and made my day in the process.http://dev.wehrmacht-awards.com/foru...1&d=1311804164

Hello, , has the lebel bayonet the normal length or is it shorter, as they are sometimes turned dagger?

                      Hi Jim

Superb collection of iconic WWI militaria, very tastefully assembled and displayed...

Is that the capbadge of my (once) local regiment, the Durham Light Infantry, I see next to the 1914-15 Star? And if so, is it related to the medal and the ID disc?

                      All the best

                      Paul.

Paul, That is a DLI badge. But it's only related to the Star and ID disk because they are all British, and special in some way.
Many thanks to you, and others, for your appreciation and compliments.

Jim...I am most impressed that you have been able to focus your collection and not collect "willy-nilly" everything that you could afford whether or not it fit your collection interests. Unfortunately, I suffer from the opposite end of the spectrum. What my affliction means is that I need lots more space to put everything that I have latched onto. I applaud your discipline and I love your display.
