With the Old Breed. KA BAR

Anyone having read 'With the old breed' by E.B Sledge or seen HBO's 'The Pacific' will be familiar with the combat experiences of Eugene Sledge.

The book is probably the best I have read about a personal experience of a guy shipping of to war and his inner thoughts.

If you haven't read the book but have seen 'The Pacific' then you really should read the book.

Anyway Valor Studios have brought out a limited edition KA BAR fighting knife which features a lot in the book.

Here are some shots of my KA BAR, very proud to own it.

Each KA BAR is signed by 1/2 surviving members of the 1st Marine Division.

One of the first WW2 books I read as a kid. It is one of the driving forces behind my interest in WW2.
