    Angled Wall Display of Caps

Where I got married some five years back, my collection got relegated to the second floor of a non-dormered Cape style home. As a result of the Cape design I’m rather challenged by space. My office, taking up half the upstairs, is victimized by an angled ceiling and my 'accumulation' (http://dev.wehrmacht-awards.com/foru...=193459&page=4) is getting cramped. Where I have limited cabinet space for my dusty old caps I had been eying those angled ceilings for awhile and I’ve had to become ‘creative’ to utilize them.

Enter Skip Greenwade the ‘Woodbutcher’ of Texas. I asked him to ponder my little problem and he sent along the fruit of his contemplation last week. Below is his solution which I highly recommend to anyone owning a Cape style home.

As some of you know, Skip makes all kinds of cases for daggers, swords & caps. He’s the ‘solution man’ to properly ‘presenting’ your collection. He certainly solved my cabinet space issue for a few caps.

Truely great idea. Having a smaller house myself I can understand the need to display our collections in any way we can!! Great set up and presentation.

Thats great. When my main military room was upstairs the only thing on the angled wall were the marks from my head smashing into it...

Very nice! I have the same issue with my Man Room which is also in the attic/bonus room of my house. I never thought of having angled displays built. Thanks for showing us.

I'm glad I'm not the only collector banished to the upper reaches of their home suffering from angled ceilings. Skip's is an elegant solution. Then again, all the Woodbutcher's cases are pretty neat for the 'proper' display of our goodies.

I've got two more of these angled cases coming. That will deal with my overflow.

                        Hello.

                        Very nice.

Can we see the A-SS painting?

                        Cheers,
                        Chris.

                          Here ya go...

(I use metal curtain tie backs to hold the bottom of the paintings or cases and one of those clear plastic wall mirror holders to grab the hanging wire)
