    Display?

    Hi there,
    jus getting into collecting and looking for a good plan on how to display helmets by themself on some kind of a stand or something like that. any ideas would help

    I suggest that you use the search option in the 'headgear section' of this forum. If you type the word 'display', you'll find several threads covering this matter.

        Hi Evan,
        I've used these polystyrene heads in the past (although some people say that they give off dangerous fumes) which I painted myself. They're quite cheap and have good, strong features.

          cool those look really neat! make it a little creepy too in the dark i bet haha. i like woodworking and metal working so i am sure i can come up with some kind of helmet holder! maybe even jsut some good old shelves or something! but good idea!!

            Glass

            I have my helmets and my growing collection of visor caps in a glass display cabinet. I like glass all around because it gives a great view of your items as well as keeping them dust free. Have a look at the way I have mine set up just for some ideas

            Interested in candid/private Hitler, KIA, and Holocaust photos. Also any AH related memorabilia--silverware, linen, crystal, china...

                I just put my helmets on shelves but they are exposed to dust year round and a load of humidity, which I've just come to accept. As long as the helmets last as long me I guess...after that they can be chucked in the river for all I care.
