    The View from My Chair

All of us view life a bit differently, when I am not at work, I am usually in my chair, so here is how life looks from my chair!

    My New Display

Here is a new cabinet that I got to display my German headgear in. I am maxed out on Iron Crosses, so I am going after visor caps now.

          Oh well

At least it is not sitting a glass display case. That is the picture that had to come off the wall when the headgear cabinet went on top of the large cabinet, so now my wife is after me to rearange the pictures again

In fact, she did not want the small cabinet on top of the large one and said "NO" But, I dragged the thing over there and then told her she had best help me put it up there lest I re-injure my bad shoulder doing it myself

She is a remarkably indulgent woman, the best kind of wife for a dedicated loony collector to have

                Chris,

I love the cabinets (and the view of course, that goes without saying) are they old shop cabinets ?

I like these and would love to have some similar one of these days, very classic looking and they make the display.......good taste mate !

And perhaps you wife could have a few words with mine please, mine is alas not so understanding !

                Kind regards,

                Marcus

                  The Cabinets

I really dont know what the orriginal purpose of the cabinets was. There is a local antique store I like to visit that had some deadbeat renters. So, after six months of no rent, Skeeter (The owner) impounded all of their stuff and was trying to sell it all so that he could clean the space out and re-rent it to some other dealer. Both of these cabinets were there and I told skeeter I would give him $100 for them . He said yes, and I returned the next day with my truck and brought them home .

                    Yep very nice indeed,
may be time to float a few E.K.`s on the open market to fund this new venture .

                      Surely You Jest

I think that I could come closer to selling off my child (If we had one) than I could my iron crosses, besides, it is not a terribly spectacular colllection, nothing really unusual in there.
