    My collection - RIP

A sad day for me. I have taken my collection out and photographed it for the first and last time, as I will be starting to sell it off piece by piece due to personal circumstances over coming months.

I know this is nothing compared to what some of you have amassed out there! I have been collecting for about 20 years but have had plenty of fallow periods - particularly the past 5 years when the children came along!

Not sure I have anything particularly rare or desirable here but...well, I like the variety of what I have!

Also quite a lot of paper items. The atlas is quite cool...gives a good period insight into German territory at its peak.

And imagine my horror a few years ago when my toddler got hold of a pen....and started to draw on my SS Schiessbuch which I'd left on the table...

Also some medal packets of issue. The case is what I believe is a transitional 1939 EKI bar case. And I forgot to mention the 200+ period postcards some of which have some pretty rare stempel. Hope you don't mind me sharing!

And finally another of the crosses - I think they look cool against the backdrop of the banner!

And lastly...the rogues gallery - items I've had the misfortune to pickup which are fakes (although I am getting a second opinion on the Krim!).

Duncan, sorry to hear about your news.

I think a lot of us have been in the same position as you at one time.

A word of advice, hang onto a few favourire items if you can. Put them away in a draw and you never know they could form the basis of a new collection when things change.

Nice collection! Please consider hanging on to at least one piece (your favourite). You won't regret it!

The rest of it will be well cared for by fellow WAF members.

Duncan, dude!, be very selective on what you sell. I agree with everyone here, you will regret this if you sell everything. You got some nice stuff there that would be hard on ($$$) to get back again!
                All the best,
                Adrian.
