You can see this insignia on sale in Spain.

Hello Allan, I'm afraid that is a post-war civil cap with an collar insignia. The caps of Security Corps (Cuerpos de Seguridad) are blue.

About the book: "Historia de las Divisiones del Ejército Nacional 1936-1939", author: Carlos Engel.

      regards
      Mike

        Hello Mike,

Many thanks for helping me out with that cap.

I have returned it to the dealer.

I will also try and get a copy of that book!!

So what's next from your collection

What about any ground dug or relic items. Surely there must be quite a bit of this left over in Spain?

I have read in the English newspapers and seen on TV that there are dedicated teams in Spain trying to find the graves of Republican soldiers, including International Brigaders, who were often buried in unmarked graves.

Hello Etienne, falangist uniforms have a range of (500-1500) euro, the problem is find them. Many of them were adapted to the new reglamentation of 1943, to the civil use or simply destroyed in war. This is not like german militaria, a bunch of dealers offering thousand of uniforms and caps.
And this is about national army pieces, because republican uniforms are rarer than SS uniforms. If you have a republican uniform you are a lucky man. So be careful with republican pieces than is being offered out there....

                        regards
                        Mike

The pistol Astra 300, used by officers in National army and Republican army. This pistol was called "purito" and was made by "Unceta y Compañía" in Guernica.
