I love it
My first Hemet, a Canadian one was given to me buy a farmer, a ww2 vet who hated the design of our nations helmets, and said the only thing they were good for was feeding the Chickens, which he used his for up untill two years ago when he gave it to me, And in awesome shape still, smell of feed, but liners still there.
Secondly I used to have a photo of an SS helmet, with a shovel staff welded unto it, used for scooping cow manure, and allso heard they were used for scooping water.
Ill see if I can dig up the pic

when i lived in california i was offered a rusty german helmet shell that was used by a old lady as a flower pot!i passed on it and the next time i saw it a new collector had it-it was repainted (restored )and had 2 decals and a repro liner added and sold at a flea market as original to the newbie by the same people that originally had offered it to me.
