Hey Adam,

Got a question for ya. How often do you get "lucky" at garage/yard/estate sales? I went out today and didn't see a thing and then got talking to my wife on the way home. Thinking back we have never seen any military stuff at those types of sales.

Just wondering if it's cause I am stuck in small town Alberta or if it just doesn't happen that often?

I do not even bother looking for militaria at yard sales etc. I've found a couple of Canadian pieces at regular antique stores but that's about it. I do all of my collecting at military shows or on-line. Too much disappointment otherwise!

Ahhh OK. I just see so many of our fellow collectors to the south saying "Hey I found this at a yard sale or I found this at an estate sale" so I was wondering why the heck I never see anything when I go out!! Have to guard my money when the wife ventures out so I go along

Recent arrival:

M40 tunic and M34 field cap. It's funny how I started out with helmets, bought some tunics to display with the helmets and now prefer to display the tunics with cloth headgear. Such are the dangers of collecting!
