Nice display, thanks for showing us. I've had the WestWall Bug lately myself. Although it's a common award, it's a beautiful looking medal and shows lots of detail.

I know what you mean, very detailed, but common award. I like all the different ways you could buy one - stickpin, ribbon bar and lapel bow w/ mini, and the small medal for the chain. The only on I'm missing now is the Parade mount.

Thanks Tony, West Wall case is Figured White Oak, but it was for sure a very unique piece. Here are a couple pics of a Figured Birch case.

nice collection! hard to find different makers since most of them didn't have a makers mark/number. Does yours have?

No, none are marked. My information is based on the makers mark on the packets, and there are differences in the details between the Poellath and Dechler medals. I also have a Katz & Dehl packet, but no award, which will be impossible to find a matching medal because as you said, they didn't mark these and characteristics for different makers have not been established and I don't think there is even a way to do this. If anyone has a marked West Wall I would love to see some pics of it.
