    Bargain basement £251 E-bay collection

Hi Guys well im sure were all feeling the pinch a little, so how about this for a bit of a bargain basement collection? What can you buy for £250 thats ww2 and German an EK1 maybe certainly not much however you can buy quite a bit of WW1 related british awards, These things are everywhere and E-bay is turning out to be a gold mine, People just cant be bothered to research the items there selling.
Ok 4 trios and a pair is nothing spectacular but look a little closer,

Now this one was a real bargan, Listed as a 1915 trio with horrible pics and the wrong name WO2nd class 2nd York and Lancaster regiment, Sadly Rose and Clasp are missing but stated on his MIC

This guy and the 10th saw some real action in France including Loos in 1915, the Somme offensive in 1916, The Battle of The Ancre in November 1916 and Arras in 1917 (Battle of the Scarpe)

Nice pickups I've picked up some nice twin and trio sets from ebay also, if your lucky you can turn up some interesting research on the original recipients and there various units.

Hi Slayer, WOW theres another WW1 fan among the ranks, I was starting to worry The research angle is an area im trying to get to grips with i can check there MIC's Medal rolls and CWGC for casualtys but im totally flummoxed when it comes to wading through the other stuff I have signed up for an Ancestry account so will see if i can find any interesting info on these guys, Im trying to focus on the Y&L regiment and am really keen to add something from the 12th Sheffield Pals battlion.

Fantastic stuff. It only gets better when it comes in a grouping and when properly researched.

Wow talk about total lack of interest guess thats why this stuff is so cheap in comparrison Ok lets see if this new addition generates any interest,
A pair to Jolly Y&L and later the Prince of Wales North Stafs, Previous owner is clearly a very good researcher there is pretty much everything from the copy of his birth certificate to his Census records all the way up to his MIC, Copy of his medal rolls shows he applied for his awrds in 1931 after his desertion 21 August 1919 whilst not a war time deserter still makes for an interesting pair to my favourite regiment.

Hi guys, Thought i would drag this one back from the dead, It would seem these cheap medals do lead to harder stuff, Thought i would post another couple up i have found in the last year, Really enjoying British stuff i love the local connection.
First up is i think my favourite group 1914 trio 15 trio, Gerorge and Alfred Brown Brothers from Rotherham who were both killed within a year of each other both fighting for the same regiment the york and Lancasters! came with a few bits of paperwork condolence letter and Alfreds ID tag.
