        Nice, but it's not very clear to me what's going on with the helmets.
        You restored the M35 helmet, but the M40 and M42 are still original? Or did I misunderstood you?

                                I made the helmet stands from ready made wooden parts and some rubberized material that comes in sheets (for the bottom and top of the stands, to prevent slippage) that I bought at Hobby Lobby. It probably cost less than three or four bucks apiece for the parts. Add a couple of screws for each stand (to attach the base and top piece) and then about fifteen or twenty minutes labor time and you have a stand. Add paint if desired. It's easy.
