Hello Gents,
I picked this sword up mixed with a large lot of militaria. Since acquiring it, I have been told that it is a 1910 model private purchase Prussian Artillery officers sword.
The blade is heavily engraved and on the backbone of the blade is engraved "H. KARGUTH NAUMBURG A/S
Also, the blade is engraved "2. THURING. FELD-ARTIL.-RGT. NO 55."
Beneath the grip is engraved "A. Wolf"
On one side of the blade is a scene of mounted field artillery and on the other is crossed cannons, the above RGT number, anda mounted officer.
