    Wroclaw (Breslau) Museum of History

    Hi!

    Today a had a nice trip to Wroclaw (former Breslau) Museum of History.
    The city is just amazing, and it's museum too!

    I thought that I will share with you a few photo.


    So at the start we have a XVII'th century badge of Wroclaws's city guards:

                And at last something uncommon - a highly decorated monstrancy from XVII'th century:


                There is a huge collection there, I show you only a thiny scrap.
                Hope you like it anyway and maybe will visit Wroclaw someday

                  Thanks for showing the very nice photos. My father was born in Breslau in the 30s and his father was a weapons inspector in the Luftwaffe in Breslau. They left in 1944. If I ever get a chance to get there I will have to visit this museum.

                      Do you know that the Monstrance was made from a Breslau Silversmith? I s it possible to show the little description in the right Corner?

                          Andy - unfortunately I "cut" that description, but from what I can see in high zoom, there is "A solar monstrance of Sebastian von R[...] (he was a Breslauer bishop), made by Jacob Hedelbader(?)".
