    Battle damaged items are always a conversation piece and I like the way you collect different types of helmets. I noticed you have an RAF sweetheart brooch and what appealed to you about having a British casualty WW1 group in your collection? nicely displayed,any history on the man?

    As far as the adversity of my collecting... I just enjoy history, especially researchable items. I picked up the kia locally, it was a relative of the lady who I purchased it from, she mapped out the gentlemans family tree for me also. None of her kids were interested in it. His name was George Lane.
    Sometimes I get a mixture of items in groupings, I like those the best, more bang for my buck.
