    my new 1942 lafette for my mg42

    hi guys ,i bought this last week .
    always wanted to have a tripod for my gun .
    it is repainted ,but all the parts are original and correct waffenamt-stamped .
    the target-table is pressent to .

        paint

        there are some spots where i can make out other paint ,but it is almost imposible to see if that was the original paint .
        the paint that is on top now was addad by the previous owner ,so it was not used like this by some military forces...

            restauration started

            hi folks ,i finaly found the time to begin the restauration work on my lafette !
            it is painted sand yellow now but looks to new for the moment . the "aging" proces will be done on another sunny day...

              Restored !!!!!

              hi dear friends ,the work is done ! finally i finnished my lafette .
              after lots of sanding ,rubbing dirt in the paint surface ,scratching with a rock and agening the collor with charcole i am happy with the result .

                      thank you for the nice comments ,indeed not a five minute job !
                      4 hours to repaint
                      3,5 hours "aging" it
                      but... it was worth doing it ,and also lots of fun !!!
