      Blaue Division M40 jaket very rare /blue division

      Last week i bought from a privat family a Spanish vetaran Feldbluse M40!
      In Austria (Steiermark) lived the man after the war. The man fight until the end of the war on the Wehrmacht!

                  The folding of the Spanish shield so that you cannot read the 'ESPANA' is typical of German cadre serving in foreign divisions. I have seen this also with Germans serving with Kroation units.

                  Superb tunic by the way!

                    The folding of the shield was common to Spaniards serving in the waffen ss when the shield had to be worn along with other specialty badge and did not fit...

                    one Spanish unit made its last stand in Austria.....

                          we have two scenarios one its German cadre serving as a link with the Blau or an "Irreductible" tunic.....

                          folding of the shield was a rumored practice amongst those men....
