70th Abnivesrsary of the Battle of Krasny Bor

Hi friends,

Today is a 70th aniversary of the Battle of Krasny Bor ( 10-02-1.943 ), it was the most important battle of the Spanish Blue Division in the East front ( Leningrado).

This is for the Spanish Volunters that dead and combat in the battle field and the Russian Corps, Arriba España !!

Two days with a very strong battle, the Spanish Division suffer terrible losses around 1.000 dead, 1.500 wounded and 250 prisioners in the Krasny Bor sector from Leningrado......

I post another photo of this helmet in honor of the Division and Regiment 262, which heroic actions helped stem the tide of the soviet onslaught....it was this pockets of resistance that the soviets decided to stop and terminate that bought the time necesary for the Division to reorganize and put an end to the soviet ofensive.....

The helmet was found in positions in front of Kolpino........
