Thanks buddy...took me a while to get my ass and gear back into finishing the displays....I think the Blue Legion guy is missing his winter goggles. and spare MG barrel part form that is quite finito.....

It was fun to research this Blue Division NCO January 43 display......Now during December of 1942 all the way to march 1943 the Blau was engaged in several actions against enemy positions (Golpes de mano) especially Reg. 262 and for the actions the survivors were decorated my General Esteban Infantes with the Iron Cross ....

making the display was in essence simple but was hard to get two items the NCO rank insignia (one used by a member of the Blau) and the early 1942 Y straps....also I was curious to see if they carried any gear on their back in this award ceremony...but so far period photos only show they had belt Y straps K 98 pouches or MP pouches and some a third pouch or bayonet......












You see in the only photo I found of this event that men show their back we see they carry nothing (photo with red X)





I also liked this photo because its the cover of the famous Signal magazine


Its a rather simple display but very iconic.....!!
