    Srorage/Display boxes

Where could a person go on-line to purchase the storage boxes for medals and stick-pins etc.? The one's I am talking about have a piece of plexi-glass on top and the top part is secured to the bottom with straight-pins. Either 2 or 4 or 6 pins depending on the size of the box. I usually get them from a dealer [and I use that term loosely] at the Allentown,Pa. show but that is not for a couple of months yet. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

      Hi, welcome to the forum.

I think what you are looking for is called Riker mounts. There is a place in your neck of the woods, in Rahway, NJ, called Collector's House Company. Toll free number is 800-448-9298. Their website is http://www.chdisplay.com/index.asp?P...S&Category=206
I've dealt with them in the past, and they are fairly reasonable. I placed an order last Wednesday, and received it Friday.
If you contact them, try mentioning our website. Maybe if they get enough orders from us, they might be able to do better on the prices.

Good luck with your collecting. Don't hesitate to ask questions, we have a great group of informative people here.

        Hey Bill,
Thanks a million. Exit 12 on the NJT I believe.

          Bill-
Is it better to store medals in such display cases or the original presentation box? Which will permit less deterioration?
