                            maybe some of You already know recently I swap main stream of my collector interest more into the Sanitäter’s stuff. I expect that most of You didn’t know that so I posting few pics ;-)

                            I’m focusing mostly on late war medical equipment items and building silhouette of Sanitäter from the last months of 1944 and maybe, with some luck, early 1945. From most interesting recent purchases and founds:- stone mint, 1943 dated Sanitäter-Besteck made from heavy grey vinyl, very similar to material used in G43 pouches. Bag came with unusual blue tools cover, made from blue canvas.                               As far I know this pattern of Sanitäter-Besteck was launched during First World War and with slight modifications during whole Second World War, same as set of medical bags worn on belt. These here were made around 1944, came from same maker. I assume that red crosses were painted on theirs lids are period made.

                              In my opinion these crosses can be also identified as mark of POW bag with already checked content. I’ve seen some medical bags with simple ‘OK’ cut on the lid, I believe that for the same reason.
