      Hi Greg / Jay,

The 6 above look fine to me.

      Top left; unmarked TR period
Top middle; looks to be a nice WW1/20s example (?800 marked below the catch)
Top right; looks to be a nice WW1/20s example (a square punch or CD 800? If vaulted, probably the former)
Bottom left; TR period (1 for Deschler)
Bottom middle; WW1/20s by an unknown maker (who used a distinctive large hinge on quite a few items)
Bottom right; another WW1/20s example with a generic "slant W" core - probably 800 marked somewhere.

      Regards
      Mike

Evaluate the item, not the story and not the seller's reputation!

I concur with the others on all counts (fakes, cases). It's unusual to see Deschler's Präsidialkanzlei number "1" on a TR version of a 1914 EK 1, since those numbers are only supposed to be on officially awarded pieces, but the cross seems okay otherwise.

I've seen this type with the '1' before, so they must have been a bit lax with the rules. The crown for these TR Deschlers is so distinct (small, low) that I recognized it just from the first shot in the post. They're not exactly rare, but I imagine it's quite nice in-hand -- heavy, substantial, large.
            Best regards,
            Streptile

              Hi Trevor,
You are absolutely correct, in hand it is very heavy & substantial!
              Thanks!
