Cheap but still neat items in your collection

    Hello folks,
The purpose of this thread is to show what neat stuff is still out there that is under $30. We all like to post the RK, DK, rare badges, helmets, etc.

There are many out there that can't afford many of those things. Let us post what you have in your collection that is worth $30 or less; but that you still find neat or interesting. We all have stamps, photos, single ribbon bars, stick-pins, day badges, etc, that fit in this category.

So let us post away. Remember the value of the item posted can't be worth more than $30.

    Regards,
    Jody

First up for me is a Heydrich death stamp. Not of great value, but still rather interesting and a dark and tragic history is associated with the men who carried out Heydrich's assassination.

The only item I own less than $30.00. A fig leaf brought back by a 21st panzer soldier from Tobruk, Libya in July 1941. The German field hospital was under ancient fig trees to the south of Tobruk and he was wounded during the battle according to his BWB document. Priceless to me though

I like these WHW runic ornaments, from an aesthetic point of view, and I think they are interesting and evocative.

This little stickpin and shoulder board cypher belonged to a soldier in Infanterie-Regiment 8, a unit I am interested in.

These 3 books cost less than £10 in total, and I think they are cool and good things to have in my collection.

I like my 9mm stickpin collection for cheap thrills, I also have quite an extensive WW1 EK related postcard collection which again is nice and cheap to collect. It's raining outside at the moment so don't want to get wet taking pics - here is a quick snapshot of one of my faves, picked up in a militaria fair in France, paid 15EUR - BARGAIN. I love EK stickpins, will take more shots when the weather improves - but for time being :-

Jody, for what it's worth, there's really some nice stuff here.

Great thread idea Jody! Here's a 1935 Deutsches Jugendfest tinnie. It's a pretty common one, but I love it. I bought this from none other than Jody.

Inscribed signed photo from Ed Wells , headed B-17 design staff (my favorite plane).

Have had it for awhile (note date)
