Super smock Gene ( and the previous tan/water ). Any chance of a close-up of the two eagles ? I would love to see them.

      Hi Steve,

I'll see what I can do with my camera, I'm getting used to it's features. I'm surprised my smocks have generated so little interest here.

            Hey guys,

Sorry, the FG42 is not real but a Collector's Armory repro. The bandoleer has 8 repro magazines in it as well.

Hey Gene, how did you find 8 repro mags? Those 2nd model FG42 repros came out very nice. Did you grab a 1st model when they were out years ago?

I too would like to see the eagle and markings of your splinter. I suspect your water pattern had a blue-gray cotton twill backed eagle. And, '44 dated.

                    Thanks for the photos Gene.

I don't want to be rude but the images are a bit too blurred to tell much about the eagles. Is there any way to get clearer pictures ? I find scanning eagles on a flat-bed scanner a good way .

Also, do you have any other FJ related items in you collection ?

                    Best wishes
                    Steve

Sounds like you have a first-rate para collection, Gene. Shame about the camera...would love to see some more photos if/when you get a better one !

                            Steve,

I'm working on getting a better camera. My collection so far is okay, I don't have any para boots or other items I'd like to have (the cost is prohibitive!) but what I have is at least original.

Gene, does that splinter smock have a date of 1-44? And and RBNr ending with 2476? I see that kind of green twill eagle on smocks like that in the past. Just curious.

Steve, I don't think it is of the style eagle I think you are hoping to see.....if I am reading your comments correctly.
