      Hi Joe,
No I havent gone after ones from WWI. I have concentrated on WWII as that has always been my interest.
It seems that joseph and josef were very popular names in those times.

By all means post any Baumgartner cards that you may have...you may have one I dont have!

          Hi Erwin,
Yes in fact yours was one of the first cards I was able to obtain after I signed up on the WAF...you got the ball rolling so to speak!

This is the card I got from you is it not...one of 3 different brother cards I have.

Very thoughfully researched, analyzed and presented! The map and statistics are wonderful and they surely give new insight into the composition of casualty statistics.

                  A+

                      Great collection !

Someday I hope to see all you death card collectors bind your collections, input and knowledge as so to make a international catalogue of these as referance. Maybe even give many of those names in the Volksbund Deutsche KriegsgrÀber database more details and a face (especially for the missing soldiers). A hell of a job and impossible to complete but certainly worthwhile for relatives living today. Just a thought.

The map is a great way to summaries your research. Its an excellent graphical way of doing it and i can only guess you've spent countless of hours getting the info and checking up the locations. Just fantastic.

Thanks to all for the . I usually have a lot of December off every year so I have lots of time to spend on this collection at times! Here is my newest purchase from herve101@hotmail.com . He has helped build my collection alot especially in the early years. Bob puts out an email list of his Sterbebild cards for sale, so I will give him a plug!
