I was in Saigon in 67.I wish I would of taken more pictures.I was just glad to make it home in one pcs.

Serving with the 716th MP Bn at the time, I had the opportunity to take pictures when US soldiers were restricted because of demonstrations. The one of the Abn Soldier and the Buddest demonstration signs was one of those times. I Will make them larger next time... still new to picture posting... at least I figured out how to post more than one at a time! CHUCK

Here's a picture of the SVN Marine Corps Statue constructed in 1965 that was across from the Assembly Hall in Saigon. The North Vietnamese tore it down in 1975 when they took Saigon.

This SVN Abn trooper was on guard at the Buddest demonstration when US troops were not allowed on the streets of Saigon. I took this while on patrol with the 716th MP Bn. in 1966.
