Great Bismarck plate, thank you for showing the closeup.
From across the room I though that the image was one of a few iconic poses in paintings done by Franz von Lenbach:
...but now that I'm closer in I can see it's different. I do know that image, I just can't place it.
It's a wonderful platter! Looks great in the room.

Kozy Quarters! Love it all. I especially like how you display the items on top of the uniforms inside the case. I am looking for ideas for my antique glass display case and some of your methods appear to match the ideas in my head. May I ask you to describe or post pics of how the case is illuminated inside? Is there one light per shelf? Thanks!

CR, Thanks....I use a difussed strip light the sort used for kitchens, but only one at the top...heat can do a lot of damage...the rest is directional spots, the lighting is controled by the main room switch so that I can have just the flag and cabinet on or the main lights or both...hope that helps
