    New Luftwaffe Collection

I have just recently become an association member. This forum is absolutely phenomenal. I know I have very few posts. The reason for that is I have not had much to contribute. Most of my time on this forum has been dedicated to learning. My main interest is in Luftwaffe militaria. This is what I have been able to collect over the last year. Thanks to all the members for making this possible!

Nice collection you have there Joe

Would you mind posting this medal bar on in the General Awards forum for people to talk about? The ribbons don't look good to me, although this could be due to the flash on your camera. also the medal combo is a bit odd. Cheers and nice collection.

Nice focused collection. The collar tabs are in great shape. What are the light green ones?

          Thanks Paul

Is very nice and focused. I've never seen a set of the light green tabs either. What branch? I really like the all TR medal bar, too.

Hi Joe, you have bought all this in one year well done!
The shoulder boards with the rank gulls on them are very strange? Any info on them?
Glad you are enjoying the forum. I always enjoy looking at other forum members collections

              Cheers, Ade.

                  Thank You

Thank you all for the kind responses. I have actually been a WWII aviation enthusiast for quite some time but really never pursued collecting militaria until last year. The M40 Luft on the top left was my first piece. It was actually a Christmas gift in 2002. My favorite pieces are the original Molders wedding pictures. I have become addicted ever since. I will try to answer all your questions:
                  1. The ribbon bar appears much cleaner than what it really is. This is probably due to the flash on my camera. I will be happy to post better pictures in the general forum.
                  2. The light green collar tabs are for Air Traffic Controllers.
                  3. The shoulder strap with the gulls. I will be honest, I have know clue. Maybe someone can help me on that question.
                  Once again,

Thank you all for providing me the knowledge to pursue this hobby.

Are you the same Joe that I've run into at a few estate sales in the Falls/Akron area and again at this past years MAX Show?
                    Best regards,

                    Tony

                          New Luftwaffe Collection.

                          Hi
I, like you concentrate on Luftwaffe and you have an excellent collection.

I have just started collecting Luftwaffe Helmets, I bought an SD M40 of this site this week.
                          I want an M35 and M42.

Could you please post pictures of the Helmets please.

                          Thanks

Thank you for kind comments Blitz and Leeb. The only thing missing from the pictured collection is the medal bar. There was to much controversy sorrounding it. Lucky for me, the dealer was very kind in working something out.

                            Hi Leeb,

I will start posting some more pictures in the near future.

The gulls on the shoulder boards are a puzzle!

The Civilian Firefighting branch of the Luftwaffe wore a similiar insignia, but never on a NCO board, always on a OR type board. Curious
