    walked in my front door

Hi, Just wanted to share an experience that ocurred today. An oldtimer from
up the road stopped by and handed me these three pieces. He said his brother in law had given them to him after the war . He said he had a hat and some other items that he gave to his son years ago . He still had these pieces and remembered a while back in a conversation I told him I collected military items. He would not take anything for them ,but I thought it was a pleasent surprise. No rare birds but I thought the wooden name tag kind of added something to this small lot, Anyone have an idea on the tag. It has one nail hole on the top my guess is an I.D.on the top of a locker. He said his brother in law was in the 8th Army and started in North Africa and went through the Continent
    Regards Dennis

    Hi Dennis,

While your items may not be rare, you can't ask for any better then having them given to you.

Very nice group for you. Be sure to send a thank you note to your friend.

    All the best.

        Wonderful

No, they are not rare or anything like that, but over the years, I have found items that are acquired in this way hold alot more "value" than those that are bought or traded for.
Interested in candid/private Hitler, KIA, and Holocaust photos. Also any AH related memorabilia--silverware, linen, crystal, china...
        All the best,
        Chris
